Factoids

Was used in the Honda CB500 Cup (updated to Thundersport 500 in 2009 with inclusion of GS500 and ER-5).

1994: CB500R – rear drum brake, made in Japan

1996: CB500T – some made in Italy

1996: CB500V – CB500 cup race introduced. Special silver model with cup logo (CB500 Cup). Production moved to Italy.

1998: CB500W – naked version. CB500SW – sport half faired version, different headlight. New instrument and handlebar layout.

There is nothing special about the CB500 cup - it is identical to the standard CB500, but with different decals to commemorate the CB 500 Cup (which is now the Thundersport 500).
